Getting Down

Impossible!

Hi O'Hooligan here.

As another week of fun, frolics and falls passes in our own little world of Walking Football we need to look back on some of the highlights! Monday dawned beautifully at Ruskin Sports Village ready for the warriors that make up St Helens Walking Football Club

All were kitted out and strapped up ready for action some admittedly more ready than others but that is normal! Teams were picked in the old fashion way of closed eyes and pointing, always fairly as we’ve come to expect!

Andy Manager joined my team and as we walked onto the pitch I pointed out that his bib(not one required for eating) was on inside out. He replied " no its on the right way, I am getting down with the boys, bring it on!"

A fine start! The games all went well with no reports of injuries, which is always welcome news. But there was a report of bruised eardrums when someone swore out loud! What shocking behaviour, 100 lines at least!

So on to Wednesday when we were joined by Ellen having her first outing with us. She was bombarded with advice from all corners and took it all in good spirits. Im not sure if any of it helped her but she seemed to enjoy herself Welcome!

But a further shock was waiting for us when we walked over to the pitches where Jason was already on site. Now Jason is renowned for being late so is known as Jason Bourne of Mission Impossible fame* so its mission completed this week and we will all self destruct in 15 seconds!

Cheers for now! 🇮🇪😇
